Here is a close up of one of the cowboys in the big loop contest at the Klamath Bull Sale this year. Look at how interesting his chinks, boots and spurs are. Notice the horsehair rope, braided riata and the woven wool horse blanket. I was intrigued by all the finery of the Cowboys. Some came as far away as Canada, and you could see the differences in dress and tack from the different regions that they represented.

Early morning at the cabin, with the sun coming up over the ridge...so peaceful there...

Was over at the cabin last weekend and hung prayer flags...they are very inspirational and beautiful waving in the wind. There was sun and rain a perfect spring weekend!

This is 'Robin'...She is a Border Collie...She was born on February 5 of this year...she's much bigger than this now and she's soooo cute...has brown paws...so she is tri colored...she's a real loving little dog and came from a working cattle ranch in central Oregon.

Our Chickens are really laying now that it's spring time...lots and lots of eggs...here are a few...Farm Fresh Eggs...YUM!!!!

This is "ZuZu"aka Truly Semi Sweet...my paint mare that is expecting a little foal at the end of May. She looks pretty round in this picture taken during the snow this winter, but as we're counting down the days, her belly keeps growing!

This is a winter snow picture of my Favorite Cow....Her name is June...Isn't this a face you could love? She was the first black and white cow, born on our farm. This year she gave birth to a bull calf, that is also black and white.

Here is a picture of Mount McLoughlin I took this winter from along Upper Klamath Lake.
It's been a really long time since I've posted to my blog...lots of things going on. We have two bull calves on the ground and at least three more cows to calve this spring. We are expecting our first Paint Horse foal at the end of May...we are sure hoping for 'color' and I will post a picture as soon as it arrives. I have taken some fun pictures of ducks and geese on the Williamson River in Central Oregon, and also attended the Klamath Bull Sale this year. I got a chance to see the Big Loop contest, and also to see my first stock dog trial, ranch horse sale and bull sale. It was so awesome!
