Here is a tiny frog that was sunning himself on a leaf...isn't he pretty? I love all of his little bumps....amazing creatures aren't they?
This is info from my friend Deanna who lives in Northern Oregon....she is an outdoorsy gal too!!!! Deanna says:

Also, that little frog is a Pacific Tree Frog and they don’t get much bigger than that. I love them! They’re cute. They are usually the ones you hear croaking around ditches and such. They are the only western frog whose call is a ribbit. The males have a darker throat than the females and are generally a bit smaller. They like to hang out in bushes and trees. They are the frog that will breed in any water source even the ditch. We use to get them all the time in our swimming pool during the winter/spring when we let the water turn green and yucky. I use to catch the tadpoles and move them elsewhere when we cleaned out the pool in June. They have sticky little feet! Each toe has a suction cup on them to help facilitate their arboreal lifestyle. They can range in color anywhere from brown to bright green and they can change their color to match the environment. They have those little bumps all over their bodies. The black stripe across the eyes is the dead giveaway. Very common, but gotta be my favorite! Oh and I believe they are the only tree frog that resides in Oregon…
