last but not least and darker rosy colored Hollyhock, also complete with it's own bee!!!! 

Here is another Hollyhock...this is sort of a yellow and peachy colored one. The bees like it!!!! 

Purple Hollyhock flowers near house. Just testing new camera, but already I can see how much better it shoots than the old one. 

Second year grapes out in the garden. They aren't quite ripe, but look delicious! 

Working with a new camera now. A Canon SLR Rebel XT. I'm still learning and not quite sure...my first attempt was in the evening late before the sun went down. You can see the shadows over the paint horses.  

Here are the storm clouds coming in over the lake. They totally dumped rain and hail that day! 

This is the "Phantom Ship" inside Crater Lake. 

This is a pond near upper Klamath. It was crystal clear and there were lots of dragonflies and birds. We got chewed up by the mosquitoes trying to shoot this picture. 

This is an old barn with cattle out grazing on the way to Crater on Highway 62. You can see the clouds and the blue sky and the Cascades off in the distance. 

went up to Crater Lake for a day with my best pal...we stopped and checked out the geology. It started out to be a beautiful day...although it was 100 degrees in Central Oregon as we got up to the lake proper it rained, hailed and the temperature dropped to about 54 degrees. It was amazing! 

Here is "Truly Semi Sweet" She is our new Bay Tobiano mare. She is out of Tru Bruiser and Semi Sweet Fleet. She is nicknamed "ZuZu"...she is so nice...doesn't get excited easily and is solid as a rock. We purchased her from Gunnin for Color Ranch in Southern Oregon. She is now being bred to"Wanted Reward" at Willow Stage Ranch for a May 2007 foal.

Tom and Jenny Turkey...These two just hang out in the forest in front of our house. I guess they didn't know it was Turkey hunting season right now...I only shoot with a camera though!

Here is a picture of a tricolored quarter horse mare that I've been looking at to come live at our farm. Isn't she a doll?? Hopefully we'll be bringing her home in the next few weeks.

White Clematis...my father used to raise several different colors of these. They are climbing vines and do well in the shade of our aspen trees.

Stopped along the roadway in Fort Klamath to watch some cows grazing and heard a red tailed hawk...he flew out of that tree and I was able to capture him in flight.

Picture of Mount McLoughlin...clouds coming in...I was over in the Klamath Basin last week, and took a few shots. This is an amazing area, and I always feel like I'm coming home when I go there.

Here is Bossy and her bull calf...we also have a little bull calf out of April...they are as yet un named...maybe we should name them t bone and rib eye?

LuLu Belle was born May 19...she is out of Sally and Little Grey...isn't LuLu Belle a cutie????

This is the last picture that I took...it's a bit further on Highway 161 at the White Lake Unit...a beautiful place to stop...you could see the 'weather' trying to come in, but I don't think all the snow that they forcasted ended up dumping...and today it's beautiful in Josphine/Jackson County so far. 

We traveled over to the Lower Klamath Refuge and were able to see several deer, We also saw Bufflehead, Scaup, Pintail, American Wigeon, Canvas Back, Coot, Red Tailed Hawks, American White Pelican, Double Crested Cormorant, Common Loon, Northern Shoveler, Common Merganser, Turkey Vulture, California Quail, Sandhill Crane, Killdeer, Black Billed Magpie and Robins. Our big excitement of the day was to get reaquainted with the Northern Harrier Hawk, sight an Immature Bald Eagle and a Mature Bald Eagle as well. This is a picture of Mount Shasta in California, as seen from highway 161, also known as Stateline Road.

By the size of the bird house, It think it was meant for a wood duck family...It is quite low on a weeping willow tree at the Miller Island refuge area. We didn't see any wood ducks, however, being to late in the season and it not being very wet, I think we saw a number of ducks and geese and ran out of daylight before we had to get back over the pass. They were expecting quite a storm, however I'm not sure anything but the wind really materialized last night. 

This is a weathered fence post that I thought was quite beautiful as you can see behind is one of the goose ponds. 

The sound of these geese honking was incredible, you felt like you were a part of the flock. 

This is a field on one side of the ponds where we could freely walk out to the geese. My friend told me to keep my hands behind my back and put my head down, it was exciting to get so close to them, but they didn't seem to be alarmed by us. 

Another picture of the geese, as you can see in the background, there is snow covering the mountains and hills of the Klamath Basin. It is a beautiful country.
