My oldest son has shin splints. From what I can read about them, they are very painful!!! He is normally a sprinter and also does Long Jump, but at the meet his coach told him to run the 1500 meter race, and to basically not 'race', but to just jog it. Here he is below having a total blast after the first lap....(You want some of this?!!) He isn't much of a quitter tho and he sprinted the last 100 meters and passed some guys coming in. I think he took 14th overall which was pretty good for someone who doesn't run long distance races, plus he had a blast doing it! He has a huge smile on his face here!Wednesday, April 15, 2009
Ashland High School Track Meet
Well the boys had a track meet at Ashland....to say it was cold is an understatement. At one point it was snowing and then hailing. Some of the kids didn't take off their warm up gear to do their events, and I can say I don't blame them! Here is my youngest son throwing javelin. Don't ask me how he gets his arm in that position!!!!
